Choosing a different icon theme is easy, too. In the Control Center choose Appearance and Themes => Icons. Then just click on the Icon Themes in the window and click on Apply when you find the theme you want to use. Figure 28 shows the Icon Themes available.

I have found that only a couple of these themes that are very usable. The Bluecurve theme is the default for Fedora and looks nice. The Crystal and Gnome themes are also good, but the rest leave a lot to be desired.
Downloading and installing a new Icon theme is fairly complex, so is somewhat beyond the scope of this book. New icon themes can be downloaded directly from the KDE website at www.kde.org.
